Make history graph more compact

When there are many (> 10) parallel branches in a repository, the graph section of the history browser becomes very wide. It is because an edge in the graph is never bended, even if there is space on its left.

In fact, the current behavior is probably better for small repos than the compact graph, so maybe we should use a combination of the two algorithms: bend a line only if the current column is "wide enough" (wider than 5 units, for example).
